Where you heading for the holiday

Wife, myself, kids and grandkids will spend the weekend up in Sequoia National Forest. About 6,500' in an area called Big Meadows between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks with lots of logging roads and some 4 wheel roads. Was up there 2 weeks ago to see if the snow was gone, it was but was 34* at 2:30 in the afternoon. Me thinks the 1st order of the day will be fire wood cutting. Hope you all have a nice Holiday and "GOD BLESS THE TROUPS"

HI GINA, THE BEST THING TO DO IS SEARCH "CALIFORNIA OHV", CAUSE YOU SURE ARE SURROUNDED BY DESERT. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND NATIONAL FOREST AREA AROUND YOU TO GET SOME ALTITUDE, FIND A CAMPGROUND THAT HAS ACCESS TO THE OLD LOGGING ROADS. CHECK WITH THE RANGER DISTRICT FOR ANY RESTRICTIONS AND HAVE FUN.
GOOD LUCK

Hope everyone had a great holiday. We had a great campout with the kids and to much good food. See the photos " Starlight trail Sequoia NF" in mountain section. I want to thank all who serve this "Great Nation" for being able to do this.
"THANKS"
