for opinons sake, i don't feel that putting 27" tires on your rhino is the sole cause of your temp light coming on. might be worthwhile to ask the dealership what they did when you took it back in and found nothing wrong. also, when you got it back home, did you ride it with the 27's and did the light come on again before you changed your tires out? lastly, is your cooling fan turning on?
my guess is that when you took it to the dealer, they may have not noticed the light come on or they may have noticed the engine temp light come on and did one of 3 things. added coolant, checked fan relay connection/operation and/or bled the coolant system. any one of those things could be considered by service at the dealer that 'nothing was wrong'. it's their way of saying, thanks for coming and we'll see you again next time.
put your 27's on, run it and if your engine light comes on again, turn it off and turn the ignition to the on position without starting. is the fan running? if not, either your fan relay is bad or you need to bleed your coolant system. just a little bit of air immediately below the temp sending unit for the warning light will cause that light to come on under normal engine temps. pull your seats and cowling. there is a sending unit in the thermostat housing mounted to the head. get it warmed up and with a wrench, loosen the sending unit very slowly until you hear air hissing out or coolant oozing out. don't remove it, just loosen it until you recognize the hissing or oozing. it's hard to miss. put a rag around it so hot coolant doesn't spit on you. once coolant appears to be oozing out regularly, tighten the sending unit back down and you should be good to go.

I have an 07 with 27 inch on it. Seems to run fne, does not get hot, rides well etc. I would do it again.. If you go with 27 get the 14 inch wheels as they look way cooler.

I"ve got 27" tires on mine & no issues what so ever. In fact I didn't know the rhino was supposed to be prone to slow rollovers, guess I shouldn't throw it around pucker bushes anymore, YEA HAAA! Maybe the little bigger tires than stock help stablize it some??

I have had my 06' 660 for about 3 months and it has 30" ITP mudlites on it. Almost every time I ride it has had the temp light come on, and overheated. I have tried cleaning the radiator, checked the overflow level, next I am going to bleed the line. The last thing I want to do is take the tires off it for smaller tires, especially with the 4" lift. Any other suggestions?

Bigger tires make the wet clutch on these Rhinos work harder to get them moving, and that heats up the oil a lot faster. Increasing the size of your engine oil cooler will help disapate some of the extra heat. A better radiator, such as the one sold by Alba Racing will also help keep engine temps down.
Be sure to change your engine oil frequently with those big tires, like every 20 hours or so. The engine oil is going to breakdown a lot faster with the extra heat, and the extra work load on the wet clutch.
