unit performs well except for on a long up hill pull, then engine cuts out, pops 3 or 4 times and then dies. turn off ignition, wait a few minutes, then engine will start back up and run fine untill you go for a long up hill run. unit is all stock with a black rhino ignition box, have replaced the fuel filter and cleaned and oiled the air filter.any info would be welcomed.

depends on your speed.... if you are over 25 mph I would guess a weak fuel pump. If its at 25 its a sensor. Try swapping back to your stock cdi too.

unit will run great at over 25 mph, just not on a steep up hill run.is there such a device on the the rhino's as a roll over valve to shut off the fuel in the case of an accident? just thinking out loud.

Your fuel pump may be getting weak would be my guess. I put a electric one on from pep boys for thirty bucks. I had a simular issue with mine if I ran it to long at a high speed. They love to vapor lock too so try insulating your fuel lines better where they lay close to the engine.

after removing the carb, cleaning and checking operation.i found that the fuel screw cap had been removed, also the slide needle has three grooves rather than the standard one groove stock needle.but does'nt the dynojet needle have five grooves not three??i'm replacing the fuel pump as suggested by fasttrax with a stock pump. thanks for any help.

Make sure to check the level of your float mechanism. If the jets (main/needle jet, pilot and starter) are not sitting in fuel under all situations, there is going to be a running problem.

The stock jet needle has 1 groove, the dynojet jet needle that i have has 5 grooves. Yours may be from a Grizzly or some other application. The best thing to do would be to replace it with a known fit.

With respect to the a/f mixture screw. Unscrew it, blow out the passage with compressed air, screw it in until lightly seated and turn it out 1.75 turns for starters.

Do any of you have any suggestion on where I can get instrucutions on how to replace the fuel filter, fule pump, and float mechanism. I'm only 14 year old and my dad is in Iraq for five more months. My rhino cutts out every time we run it over 25 mph in powder and it pops then dies. Please help me!
