Crying [:'(] Transmission seems locked in forward only

Hey There,

I have a 2006 450 and it has been running great with only 400 miles on it so far. I have been using it to push snow in the mountains here in Colorado. Today it got stuck in forward after I hit a rock with the blade. I them ran in forward for about 5 to 6 miles and everything started working correctly again. Them I pushed a little more snow and it got locked in forward again. I removed the clowing and it looks like the shifter is moriking just fine. Any ideals?

How high are the RPM's at idle? These things will fight you if they are idleing too high while tring to shift. I have plowed for my 2nd year now ALOT! and have no problems other than a wear bar replacement and broken winch cables.

Thanks for the reply,

I went out this morning and found the problem. The bolt that holds the lower shift point was lose. It looked like it was moving the lever correctly but when I started playing with it I noticed that different lights would come on so I tigthen it and now it works fine.

Sometimes you just can't explain it.
