I have read many good reviews on the dynatek. I'm getting ready to buy one myself. The difference is the BRP leaves the reverse rev limiter in tact and the dynatek removes it. Plust the dynatek adjust timing just a bit for a little more power throughout the throttle range. Not sure if the BRP does that or not, it may just remove the topend rev limiter.

I believe brp has procom make them they make almost all of them on the market. I have a procom and no problems but have heard of bad batch. A freind called them with starting problems and they sent him a new one. Dynatek is a little more money but worth it.

Hunterworks just came out with their own CDI. According to them, it isn't another company's CDI with their sticker on it, it's actually one they are making. They didn't mention the 4 degree advance in the timing as others do, but I'm sure they've done something like that with theirs. I'm thinking of getting that one after I get the money up!

I just installed a Dynatek after hearing good things about them. 30 minutes into my first ride my Rhino stalled out. After I got it re-started it would not run at anything above 5 miles an hour. Anything above a little throttle and it would blubber and backfire and stall. Put the stock cdi unit back in and it ran fine.
I am calling the mnfgr. tomorrow.
There was definitely better power for the short time the unit worked, and I am hoping they will send me a new one without any hassles.

I bought a procom and got 51MPH with just a power tip I was very happy with it and the price.
My father bought the rinoteck and it is disatifing 46 with same power tip.
So I think they are all going to help a little depending on the mods, just don't buy a off brand.

I bought a Procom (PE-C-AY660R-A) for my 04 660 Rhino this past Summer and it does what they say.................BUT it makes Hard Starts in cold weather (Will start when you let off the starter if not cold, or cold crank forever before starting) Backfires after a hard run if you let off the gas to fast. I took it off today and went back to stock unit. Now Rhino is back to Normal but only 38/39 MPH. (Got 51 MPH with Procom) If anyone wants it for 1/2 of what Procom sells them for let me know. Ole Man
