Cheap fix for CVT filter issue!
Reply Quote

I have read both pros and cons of installing a CVT on my Rhino.

Pro: Keeps dirt out of the tranny.

Con: Build up of heat due to restriction of air flow through foam filter material.

With the above in mind, wouldn't both be dealt with if you simply put some panty hose material around the CVT breather opening?  It would be kinda like putting an Outerwear over the opening and nothing else.

Thin material like this shouldn't restrict any air, and will keep the dirt out.  It is cheap too!

Whattya think?

I used a old un-oiled atv filter on mine with a hose clamp and a nylon.....Works great!
